archimprint was founded by Hong Kong artist LeE-papa (Chi Leung Liu), whose practice spans illustration, photography, and graphic design. Through these creative disciplines, he explores the relationship between architecture, place, time, and memory.
His work focuses primarily on old buildings, historic architecture, and urban landscapes, reflecting on the traces of everyday life that gradually disappear as cities evolve. Some of the buildings depicted have already been demolished or redeveloped, while others continue to stand quietly within the changing city. Through drawing and photography, he seeks to preserve these places and the stories they embody, extending the collective memory embedded in the urban landscape.
A distinctive characteristic of archimprint is its emphasis on the architecture itself. Surrounding environments and human figures are intentionally minimised, while generous use of negative space invites viewers to focus on the form, proportion, details, and character of each building. Rather than simply documenting architecture, the works aim to reveal the emotions, history, and memories carried within these structures, allowing each building to become a vessel of time.
LeE-papa has participated in exhibitions in both Hong Kong and the United Kingdom, and his works have been selected by and recognised through various international art, design, and photography platforms. In 2022, he held a solo exhibition at the Jockey Club Lei Yue Mun Plus in Hong Kong, presenting architectural works that reflected on urban memory and the emotional connections between people and the places they inhabit.
archimprint believes that every building leaves its own trace, and every place carries lasting impressions and memories. Through creative practice, the project seeks to preserve disappearing landscapes and forgotten stories amid constant urban change, embracing the spirit of "Somewhere in Time · Someplace in Memory" as an ongoing reflection on architecture, cities, and the lives shaped by them.
